How we test
Every lamp in our guides goes through three tests. First, we check dimmer consistency using a 240fps camera. Any visible flicker at any brightness level is a failing mark. Second, we test base stability by tilting each lamp to 15 degrees on a smooth surface. Third, we run a heat test at the LED cap after 30 minutes to assess driver quality.
We also handle every lamp by hand. We check cord quality, touch sensor response, seam construction, and finish consistency. A $28 lamp should feel worth $28.
